Both Sanders and Peter Welch as well as 68 others in Congress are members of the Democratic Socialist Party. I am not sure but I don't believe the American public knows that this party has been hijacked by Socialists.

If you think you disliked Sanders before, here are his plans from his own mouth. Read this carefully and use your Liberal\Socialist decoder manual if necessary.

"I have introduced legislation to make it possible for ten million homes to install solar panels on their roofs. I have introduced big legislation to provide high quality child care and early education to every child in Vermont and across the nation. I am also working on small but significant legislation that will nonetheless change how we live and work in ways that make sense: expanding community supported agriculture (CSAs), and expanding housing opportunities for veterans. I founded the Senate Social Security Caucus, and have led the fight to preserve Social Security, the most successful social program ever created in the United States." Bernie Sanders (Email reply about "Deficit Reduction")

What did the USSR used to call them? Collective Farms. Now, what do you call a person who uses their power and position to advance Socialism in a Representative Republic? Why Senator of course. LOL

We must get rid of Sanders.  I have been keeping track of the people who may run against him on a Vermont site I hope everyone checks often: wwwtruenorthreports.com. I think Sanders is an embarrassment but capable of so much damage. I think it would be great if all of us could meet, plan a strategy for his defeat and recruit volunteers.

Cynthia I like your fire, but I have worked those avenues and I get tired of being treated like a child by Little Lord Leahy and his socialist colleagues Sanders and Welch. Unless you know of a way to remove them from office besides rigged Vermont elections then I suggest you be prepared for more of the same. Leahy is guilty of many crimes throughout his career, but he is still in office. Head of the Judiciary Committee at that. How's that for corruption?

Last week I heard the federal government takes in $220 billion.
Today I heard $200 billion. I have also heard $229 billion.
I agree with Sean Hannity. Obama is a crybaby. He spends way too much and he wants to spend more and we get to pick up the tab. When we say we are not too fond of your shared sacrifice.....he crys poor and then uses scare tactics. Sadly they work on people NOT paying attention. We need to deluge 202 224 5141. Bernie Sanders and 202 224 4241, Patrick Leahy today and tell them both to vote for Cut Cap and Balance or there is going to be one less Socialist in the Senate next year.

President Obama keeps telling us what might not be paid if the debt ceiling isn't raised.

That's the wrong answer to a question that America isn't even asking.

This new iCaucus Video calls on the President to answer the real question:

"Mr. President,  if the debt ceiling isn't raised and you're not planning on paying our debt obligations, or social security, or  medicaid, or our military personnel...even though you will have more than enough money to do so...then what's more important and what will you be paying instead with the $180 billion that the government will keep collecting every month?"

We need to recruit a strong tea party candidate to run against Peter Welch. I have experience staffing and working on campaigns so if anyone is considering running and needs any kind of campaign managing staff, let me know. I want to win this seat.

Allen, Who are the letters to? I didn't see a name after "Dear". Who are the lobbyists he was writing to? Not that it matters but it would be helpful to know that.

Hey, sorry to wake any of you up, but I got this from the Vermont GOP.

Shumlin Soliciates Cash from Lobbyists During Session

Montpelier, VT - Vermont Republican Chair Pat McDonald sent the following letter to Governor Peter Shumlin this morning:

April 25, 2011

Dear Governor Shumlin:

As our state's top elected official, you are aware soliciting contributions from registered lobbyists during the legislative session is against the law. As you know, this law is in place to prevent politicians from using the legislative session as a political fundraising tool and to prevent lobbyists from using contributions to influence public policy. We believe that on at least two occasions you have violated Title 2 section 266 of Vermont's campaign finance law by soliciting contributions during the legislative session from registered lobbyists.

Your email solicitations dated April 6th and April 18th (attached) are clear violations of this campaign finance law which has existed for more than a decade. As a seasoned politician, it's fair to assume you know campaign finance law quite well and there is no excuse for these types of violations.

As governor, you swore an oath to uphold the laws of our state - including those, like this one, that you seem to have ignored.

We call on you to explain why you found it acceptable to violate this law and apologize to the people of Vermont for abusing their trust. Furthermore, we call on you to verify - beyond any doubt - that no members of your gubernatorial staff were in any way involved with this illegal campaign fundraising solicitation. We also strongly urge you to return the contributions you have received from lobbyists or will receive because of these solicitations. In closing we would expect you to take immediate corrective action to ensure that your campaign staff plays by the same rules that all of us must follow.

Moving forward, our expectation is that you will abide by all laws and provide the level of gubernatorial leadership - and accountability - to which the people of Vermont are entitled.

Sincerely,

Pat McDonald

Do you believe these people? The Vermont "Republicans" left me many years ago. I was in the local caucus and was a local rep to the State one year. The secretary didn't even send in my credentials. With dedicated people like this who needs enemies. Are they really surprised?
