TEXAS TEA PARTY GROUPS

I believe that Texas stands as a Bastion against those that would change our Country. The Men, the Heroes, that fought for Texas Independence came from all over the United States, Europe and Mexico. We are of a strong line of peoples that believe in liberty and freedom, I can't believe that we can't follow in our Fore Fathers' footsteps in continuing that fight in the face of changes and challenges that are being foisted upon us.

Happy Independence Day Texas!  In 1836, we said that Santa Anna violated the Constitution of 1824, and either he return to it, or we would give him our walking papers.  He refused, so we sent him our walking papers.  As Americans (and I love America about as much as I love Texas, so it hurts to say this), it is our belief that Barak Obama and the progressives (Communists at worst, mild Socialists at best) have violated the Constitution of 1776.  So, unless they return to the Constitution and give us the freedom of speech, speech, religion, and the other freedoms they promised us, we will give them our walking papers like we did with Mexico in 1836.  May God bless Texas and return the United States of America to that former state of blessing that she had before our leaders spoiled it.

Does anyone know when Mitt Romney's dad became a U. S. Citizen?

I wouldnt call Allen West a true patriot, he voted for the NDAA. And so did Marco Rubio. http://recallthetraitors.blogspot.com/2011/12/how-to-recall-us-sena...

The constitution and the first 10 to 12 amendments should be the law of the land.  All else should be looked at and probably thrown out in order the restore this country to the Republic intended.

Law should be basic and clear.  Example:  Discrimination of any kind should be against the law, but settled in civil court.  The one(s) discriminated against should be able to sue the pants off the violator to the extent of possibly taking ownership of their company/organization.  There should not be affirmative action anything, it's just a name for reverse discrimination...which still is discrimination.

With basic laws then is when/where the courts should come into play.  They should judge whether or not a law was broken and if extenuating conditions exist to have the flexibility to come down with an appropriate/fair finding.  Judicial should not create legislation nor should their findings over-rule or modify legislation unless legislation is found unconstitutional.  If unconstitutional the judicial should only have one power, to declare the law unconditional and abolished...no modifying.  The President should only have power to make final approval or disapproval of legislation.  If he disapproves then the over-ride of 2/3 should apply if it can be attained.  As for executive orders they should be limited to immediate emergencies and only be in effect until congress in a rapid response special emergency session determines whether to approve or disapprove that action (this allows for possible attacks on US).  The President should not be introducing or influencing introduction of legislation at all, only to approve or disapprove what congress puts before him.  All or most of the regulatory/government agencies should be dissolved for they are unconstitutional.

What is in place today is a government which pretends to uphold the constitution and the banner of the Republic, but in reality is a socialistic dictatorial one posing to be the representative and champion of the people....a deception.

A method of choosing candidates that is not able to be fixed by a few must be set up.  For decades money and major media have played a major part in the selection and election of politicians, a way to bring it back to the people must be found and implimented....politicians being bought and buying their way into office must be ended.

West is perfect for selection as VP

Comment by Johnny W. Barlow on January 31, 2012 at 8:01pm

the liberals are also attacking West with a superPAC

just sharing a letter that I sent to the Texas GOP

I have a question now that Obama in being challenged over the fact that he is not a "natural citizen" which is a must for President and VP. Why isn't anyone saying anything about Romney? He's not a natural citizen either. In accordance with the 1875 Supreme Court ruling neither is eligible. I might add that the working-class small business owners tend to lean toward the Constitution and are starting to demand we go back to it. So where do we stand as a party on these issues?

I'd like to see him run for Kay B. Hutchison's senate seat!

Comment by maggieb on January 31, 2012 at 7:23pm

I like Col West. He can come to Texas and run in Ron Pauls old slot

Comment by Kitty on January 31, 2012 at 6:40pm

It's a disgrace what the establishment Florida legislature is doing to Col. West, a true Patriot.
